Morecambe Mark Lodge No.716 and Morecambe Royal Ark Mariners Lodge No.716
 
With both Morecambe Mark and Morecambe Royal Ark Mariners meeting in April for their business meetings, and Morecambe Masonic Hall still being out of commission due to ongoing renovations, it was agreed by both Lodges to hold the meeting on the same night at the Evelyn Battersby Woman’s Masonic Hall.

The evening started with the RAM meeting at 6:00pm. The Worshipful Commander WBro. Dave Tattersall opened the Lodge, and the business of the lodge was carried out. This included electing the Commander for the ensuing year. Bro. John Gunson S.W. of the Lodge was declared the Worshipful Commander for the ensuing year which was greeted with acclamation. The worshipful Commander closed the Lodge. Following the closure, the Brethren assisted in setting up the Mark Lodge.

The Mark meeting started at 7:00pm. Due to the change of date and family commitments the Worshipful Master was unable to attend.  RWBro. Tony Harrison stepped in as the W.M. (he did have one hour notice). The Lodge was opened and the Lodge business was carried out including the election of the Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. Bro. Stuart Bateson the S.W. was elected and was greeted with acclamation. Then the Worshipful Master closed the Lodge.

Chris Butterfield Prov.GSW Mark Secretary, WBro. John Rimmer acting Grand Senior Deacon, WBro. Tony Thackrah acting Prov. Grand Registrar (Grand Stewart designate) and WBro. Dave Tattersall Worshipful Commander of RAM acting Prov. Grand Org.
